Message from the Principal
July 2024
Dear Franklin Families,
As we close the chapter on another remarkable school year, it feels as though we've blinked and missed it. From our Meet and Greet to welcoming our newest Pre-K students, we've journeyed through a year of growth, tradition-building, and fostering an environment where every child can thrive.
To our students: congratulations on a job well done. Your dedication, perseverance, and willingness to push yourselves have left both teachers and parents in awe. At Franklin, we've celebrated countless learning experiences and educational milestones. Through collaborative planning, implementation of best teaching practices, and maintaining high standards, we've cultivated a unique, excellent, and nurturing learning environment. Our staff's unwavering dedication and talent continue to make Franklin an exceptional place for growth and discovery.
To our parents and families: your continued support has been the bedrock of our success. Our vibrant, caring community has been instrumental in helping us achieve the educational goals we set for your children. The strong partnership between home and school is truly invaluable.
To our outstanding teachers: thank you for crafting stimulating programs and providing individualized care for each student. Your efforts have made an indelible impact.
As we approach summer, a time ripe for creating joyful memories, I encourage you to savor these moments with your children. Continue to motivate them to give their best effort each day, and we look forward to welcoming them back in September.
A special note to our departing first graders: as you move on to Hewlett or Ogden Elementary, know that you carry our best wishes. Your energy, spirit, and enthusiasm will be deeply missed, but we're confident you'll represent Franklin Early Childhood Center admirably in your new schools.
Wishing you all a summer filled with joy, relaxation, and new adventures.
Best regards,
Lorraine Smyth, Ed.D. Principal
