Message from the Principal

August 2025

Dear Franklin Families,

It is with great pride and excitement that I introduce myself as the new principal of Franklin Early Childhood Center.  I am honored to return to a school community that holds such a special place in my heart, and I am thrilled to begin this new chapter alongside your children.

I began my Hewlett-Woodmere journey in 2013, right here within the walls of this school building, where I had the privilege of working alongside a dedicated team committed to inspiring and empowering our students each day.  For the past three years, I have had the honor of serving the District as the P-12 Chairperson for World Languages and English as a New Language.  In this role, I've had the unique opportunity to maintain meaningful connections with former students and families, watching our early childhood learners grow into inquisitive, collaborative and responsible learners- a true reflection of the strong foundation established here at Franklin Early Childhood Center.

At Franklin Early Childhood Center, we will continue to uphold the school's tradition of excellence while embracing new opportunities for innovation and collaboration.  I am deeply committed to ensuring that every student feels seen, valued, and inspired to reach their fullest potential.

I hope to meet you at upcoming events in the weeks ahead, as well as throughout the school year.  Please keep an eye out for important dates and information that will be mailed home throughout the month.

I believe that strong relationships between school and home are the foundation for student success, and I look forward to partnering with you to support your child's academic and social-emotional growth.  Together, we will make this an incredible year for all students at Franklin Early Childhood Center.

With gratitude and excitement,

Nicole Montellese, Ed.D.
