Welcome to Franklin!

With over 40 years of experience, the Franklin Early Childhood Center nurtures youngsters in a caring atmosphere and builds a strong foundation that becomes a lifelong advantage. In Hewlett-Woodmere's tradition of innovation and leadership, the district established its Early Childhood Programs in 1966. With enthusiastic children climbing its impressive front steps, Franklin Early Childhood Center opened its doors in 1983 and quickly became a regional demonstration site proving the success of early education. Situated on four acres centrally located in the heart of Hewlett, the Franklin Early Childhood Center has two full-sized gymnasiums, an expanded library with performance space, an indoor Playscape and a tree-shaded modern outdoor playground. Franklin staff work with families to make the transition from home to school comfortable and enjoyable for students and parents.
